The chilly breeze rattles down my spine as I continue to climb
I look up at the peak above aiming to reach it within the next few days
The sun casts a warm glow over the horizon, spreading hope for this long journey
I pull myself up over the next ledge
Reassuring myself again and again, that I won't lose my grip
While stopping for a short rest
I hear the demons screaming in the abyss way below
Tempting me to fall off and give up
But I continue to refuse and keep moving to further symbolize my defiance
A shadow suddenly appears over my head
It belongs to a large block of ice that broke off somewhere above
I quickly dodge it, holding my breath while it falls below into the abyss
After making my way up over the next path,
I spy a shiny black object on the next ledge
I take in another breath fresh of mountain air before heading towards it
