How I wish to conquer my fear
Of being trapped inside four walls that are not familiar
For I was once forced to breathe toxic air
Coming out of some terribly toxic Dementors in a small and soul-sucking space

I had to survive as shell of myself until I earned my keys of freedom out of that hell
I have been doing my best to detox and recover from that experience
But the stress forever haunts me
The space between my eyebrows and inside my chest still become tense
Every time I speak to people in a close setting
With or without a mask on
It's a reflex as if to prevent anything harmful from entering my mind

I wish to be free from this burden that weighs on me like a stone
I know in time I can find the strength to lift it off and move on to better things
It's as if I want the weight to remain as an excuse not to go back to normal life
As I've become numb and dependent on my social isolation

I hope to one day flutter my social butterfly wings again
And be able to speak with strangers in any kind of space
