Am I willing to return to the places of the beloved memories of my past
Or maybe I will simply remember them for what they were
So I won't be taken aback from how much they have changed since

These pieces of memories slowly come back to me
Even from some of the cringy decisions I made in my naïve youth
Oh how hard it is to believe
That some people have come and gone
I flip through yearbooks
Pictures
My journal
And anything else that can satisfy my aching reminiscent mood

To have a time machine to relive these old times again
Would indeed be a dream come true
I choose not to forget where I've come from
Such as those places that helped me learn and grow over the years
They also assisted me in uncovering the truth of who I am

No matter how distant these memories become
I will hold on to them tight
The future may not always look bright
But I can escape time to time again
Into the welcoming cobwebs of the past
