Doesn't feel like too long ago when I was a kid
Only focused on all the fun things I did
Now I miss 'em even more than ever before
Things can be so complicated nowadays
So I crave to return to the past
Where the best of Nicktoons and other classic TV shows existed
Back then was a world full of less expensive expenses
When CDs were more popular
Where Blockbusters roamed the Earth
And how I yearn for the days of when most young kids didn't have their own phones
And actually interacted with others around them
Life seemed to be much friendlier back then
When I was close with people like my neighbors
As we played baseball without a care in the world
As a kid, everything felt less complicated to me
and that's the world I want to take back
When Spongebob was my religion
And when I may have been naïve,
But I conceived that the world wasn't so bad
As long as I had my imagination to keep me company
The monsters in my closet
May have frightened me a little
And I feared that they might drag me to Monstropolis
And force out my screams for their own selfish needs
But then again, another likely possibility
Would be that I would be taken Where The Wild Things Are
As my imagination would run wild quite often
I remember when my family had time to go on awesome vacations every summer
And absolutely none of them were ever a bummer
These were the glorious days before things became more expensive
But innocence was priceless
As I reminisce of the times
Where I'd wake up early on weekends to watch cartoons and play Crash Bandicoot for hours
Nowadays, I feel odd as that time passed so long ago
Nonetheless, I feel that the older I grow
The more I know and understand about that precious time which was my sublime childhood
Which was pretty good in the sense that not everything made sense
But didn't matter as long as no glass shattered
From the violence that battered the world outside
As I stayed in my little box
I miss the simple times
When the world wasn't so big to me
And I didn't have all these responsibilities
But I firmly believe I can succeed in this world
Although you can't have success without sucking sometimes
Because I would need some lemons
Not to suck
But make lemonade
And if that doesn't work
Don't throw them away
Save 'em for another sunny day
Because I used to be afraid of the rain
Since it delayed all of my fun
Although that's the real world sometimes
Other times it could be quite a blast
I still can't believe how life can go by so fast
So I'll live every moment until my last
Breath
But there will still be those times in my adult life
When I will desperately
Crave for the past
