In the 50s when times were simple
Had crooked teeth and many a pimple
Short phone numbers
And sandy roads played
With snakes and hoppy toads
A time of innocence and fun for all
Learned to play some good baseball
Rode my bike all over town
Was no way to hold me down

Loved my classmates and teachers too
A special friend who's name was Sue
Made good grades and learned a lot
Cut some classes and got caught

Not much has changed just my age
And maybe a greater income wage
I still remember all I did
Today I'm just a big ole kid
