Met on a whim by a tip from a friend
What can hurt little time I'll spend
She arrived early to check me out
Wanted to see what I was all about

Deciding to show she walked up to me
Gave me a hug I didn't foresee
Before we spoke she made contact
I have to say I felt bushwhacked

As I learned later she wanted to smell
To find a scent of old man from hell
Passing the first test she sat with me
We chatted a while I ordered some tea

Iearned her life story
In just a short time
I mostly listened
Didn't share much of mine
She reached for my hair
And pulled out a spider
I was concerned
That it could bite her

Without a flinch she let it go
Then used her thumb to smash it so
Who is this girl I had to ask
To execute this deadly task

Then I remembered where she's from
To have such a deadly thumb
Where I come from most ladies
Would hurl but she's
A Tennessee Athens girl
