I’m a Mouse

I’m a small little furry animal.

I’m a rodent by nature.

I scurry all over the place and keep my distance from cats who like to give chase.

I would make a wonderful pet but I need to live in a cage that is large enough and has an assortment of playful activities that will allow me to run around, burrow, climb and rest throughout the day.

I like to dig and to climb so I need a cage that will allow me to do both with sand for digging and ropes for climbing.

I’m also social so I like to live with other mice.

Female mice have the best temperament for living among many where as males are more aggressive and will become territorial.

Fancy mice make the best pets within the mice family and they are very colorful, playful and friendly to humans and among themselves.

If you’re going to take care of several mice in a cage then you should pair females only together.

Mice are misunderstood but indeed they do make wonderful pets as long as they’re properly caged, properly fed, properly paired and properly maintained in a cage that accommodates them adequately with enough space and activities to keep them busy and has bars that protect them from escaping the cage.

Fancy mice typically have a life span of 2 to 3 years so you will have to keep that in mind when searching for the right pet.

As a pet owner we all get attached to our little furry friends so that will affect us but these little cute mice are irresistible and wonderful in so many ways.

Fancy mice like to eat vegetables, fruits, meat and pellets designed for their health needs.

Children are fascinated by fancy mice in their cages and love to watch them at play and seeing their cute bodies, eyes and whiskers.

A fancy mouse is also called a house mouse because of its friendly nature and its unique appearance and personality making it a good companion as a pet.

It’s not advisable to hold mice as they can escape your hand and they’re very fast and hard to catch.

Mice also exist in the wild too and they are more aggressive and stronger than store bought mice because they have tough lives and have to fend for themselves but pet mice usually live longer because they’re protected in cages and are loved by their owners and well fed.

Children also appreciate mice through icons like Mickey Mouse who was the genius of Walt Disney and the subject of many cartoons with his girlfriend Minnie Mouse.

Another popular cartoon classic starring a mouse is Tom and Jerry where you have the cat, Tom chasing the mouse, Jerry but Jerry is too smart and always escapes the clutches of Tom cat.

Another cartoon that paired a cat and mouse is Courageous cat and Minute mouse who were crime fighters.

These character portrayals of the mouse as an icon brings a wonderful fascination to children and allow them to truly appreciate the mouse as a treasured pet and not the rodent that you would be afraid of.

So kiddies, if your parent asks you for a pet you would like you can ask for a fancy mouse as they are fun too even in a cage.

If you see me crawling around don’t be afraid. I may startle you but I can be a good pet and also I’m actually friends with elephants and Dumbo is one of my good friends because I’m a mouse.
