I’m a Gorilla
I’m a huge animal.
I’m not the best looking.
Sometimes I’m called a beast.
Many who see me run in fear.
I don’t understand why because I’m very friendly.
I have many traits similar to humans.
I’m not wild like I’m portrayed to be.
I’m tall with long arms and sometimes I pound my chest as I give a yell.
I like to eat plants and vegetables.
I’m one of the biggest vegetarians you’ll ever meet.
Gorillas are very intelligent creatures and they are very social.
Female gorillas are very nurturing of their infants and have been known to care for wounded animals and human babies too as if they were their own.

Young gorillas love to run around using their arms and legs and play and they are often seen climbing trees and having fun with their siblings and friends.

They’re very much like little children.

They’re so innocent and cute.

They’re also very impressionable and expressive of their emotions.

Gorillas are very family oriented and resemble a human family in many ways.

They navigate their habitats in family groups and are always on the move as they forage for food and shelter.

Gorillas live primarily in Africa and are adapted to warm climates. They do not seek drinking water because they obtain moisture from the plants they forage for.

Gorillas exist in the rainforest as their natural habitat.

It’s wonderful to capture gorillas in the wild in photographs but the next best thing is the big screen.

Movies portray gorillas in many ways and you can see they are the most gentle of creatures.

The most famous movie portraying a gorilla is King Kong who shows his feelings towards the woman he holds in his hand as he scales the Empire State Building with a plane flying overhead.

Children are amazed by the movie and consider it one of their favorites.

Gorillas in film are also shown as gentle with children.

They are very playful and compassionate towards them as illustrated in the movie Baby’s Day Out.

Gorillas are listed as endangered and we must protect them because they are very critical to the balance of life in the wild.

Gorillas are the closest to humans and they need us and we need them.

Gorillas have wonderful personalities and love interacting with humans.

Gorillas are also known for protecting humans and warning them in the wild.

Gorillas are well taken care of and protected by the caretakers in the zoos around the world.

Children love visiting at the zoo to see the gorilla family especially the babies as they are the cutest and they’re so playful.

I love when children come to visit at the zoo to see me and my family. We’re very kind animals and want to learn from humans. We are smart and can learn to communicate too and even through sign language. I am always very shy and reserved too because I’m a gorilla.
