The artist in me
I love when I am inspired
I create wonderful works
Through words
Through visions
Through artistry
Through research
Through painstaking effort
My need to write comes from a higher power
I’m drawn to it
It’s not easy
I have to have an idea
Once I do
It just flows
I wake up in the middle of the night
Or I don’t go to sleep
I work tirelessly through the day into the night
I have this flash of brilliance
I grab my phone
I reach for a piece of paper and pen
I start typing into the screen
I start writing pen to paper
I want to never interrupt these moments
They’re what I live for
I want to have times of creativity
It provides me a sense of fulfillment, of accomplishment
It allows me to engage in deep thought
I’ve always admired music artists
Music is an anesthetic to a suffering mind
It bridges the gap from depression to seeing the light
It’s when everything comes into focus
They say music makes the heart shine
I believe that
I’m most happiest when I’m engaged
Listening to music
Whether on the radio
Or watching a video
Or listening to my digital library
Or writing my own stuff
I write a different kind of music
My foray into the music scene is through spoken word
I love poetry
I enjoy creating imagery through a tapestry of words
That leads to
A sentence
A paragraph
A composition
I write whatever comes to mind
It has importance to me
If it touches me then I describe why
I want to share it with others
I am always challenging myself
I’m always trying to bring out the best in me
I have many projects in the works
I’m working on my animal stories
I feel we have to learn about the animals Protect them
I’m concerned for their welfare
We must give them a voice
We need to recognize their needs
Our lives are enhanced through these wonderful creatures
Just think when you awake to birds singing at your window
When you awake to your cat purring next to you
When you go on a walk with your best friend, your dog
These are wonderful memories
We must recognize them
I try to tackle tough social issues
I feel it’s my way to express my feelings
My thoughts
My inner voice
I have to tell my point of view
