I’m a Dingo song lyrics by Emily Iannielli official

I’m a Dingo is a song in English

I’m a Dingo
I live in Australia in the wild

I am a cross between a wolf and a dog

I am a social animal like the wolf as I gather in a pack with my family and friends.

I’m a wild dog that roams in the Australian outback.

I habitat in the rainforests, grasslands, mountains, woodlands and deserts of mainland Australia and I am constantly in search of water and food to survive in the wild.

Dingoes are beautiful, majestic animals that are tan, red, white or black in color and resemble dogs or wolves.

Dingoes are carnivores and they prey on kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, rabbits, birds, small rodents, sea life, insects, vegetation, plants and fruits.

They basically eat anything that comes their way that they can hunt and trap.

Many dingoes live in a pack but some do live solitary lives straying from the pack.

Dingoes are threatened by hunters and larger predators and vulnerable to extinction so they have been protected in wild life parks, Great Sandy National Park on Fraser Island (K’gari), in Queensland, Australia designed to give them free reign and refuge.

Great Sandy National Park is a wildlife preserve in K’gari, home to many lakes and streams, forests and many species of birds where dingoes roam in designated areas freely.

Fauna Parks and zoos provide sanctuary to dingoes in Australia and other parts of the world to protect them and educate the world of the beauty and wonders of Dingoes.

Visitors come from all over Australia and the world to visit at Great Sandy and other wildlife sanctuaries and zoos to see the wildlife including the dingo and protected birds and other animals.

Dingoes are usually gentle and friendly dogs that keep their distance unless they are among those they have attachments to.

They are very curious in their surroundings and very aware and alert and are fast animals running up to speeds of 30 miles per hour in the wild.

Dingoes in the wild have a life expectancy of 5 to 6 years while in captivity they can live 12 to 14 years.

Baby dingoes are pups and are protected by their mothers usually raised in dens in caves in the wild and are ready to go on their own before their first birthday and ready to mate at 3 years seeking a lifelong mate and companion.

One thing anyone must realize is that dingoes are wild animals and live in the wild. They are not domesticated but can be found at zoos and wildlife reserves where they are looked after.

Knowing that it has been documented that tragedies have occurred and one that made the headlines was of a baby girl, Azaria Chamberlain in August 1980 on a camping trip with her family that was taken in the night from her unsuspecting parents from her tent and it was a dingo that was reported by her parents as the culprit. The tragedy was portrayed in the feature film “A cry in the dark”.

It was a very tragic story that proves that animals in the wild are dangerous and must be avoided.

That also includes the dingo.

When people visit camp sites or animal sanctuaries they are warned to never leave food behind because that attracts wild animals and can pose dangers to visitors.

We all must respect animals in the wild in their natural habitat.

I am a dog that roams the wild.

I gather in a pack.

I’m a dingo.
