To start my little day off right
And wake myself up, I had a coffee
An arabica, black and strong
I put on my parka, now I can go

"Where are you going?" my loved one yells at me
"Let's have a coffee, I just woke up"
Being early and a bit forced
I change direction and have another coffee

At quarter to eight, I must admit
The offices are empty, one could get bored
But I stay calm, I know how to adapt
By the time they arrive, I have time for a coffee

The day picks up, everyone can work
At least until coffee break time
My secretary comes in, "strong as you like it!"
Oh shoot, I just had one, well, now that it's made

A business lunch near the trail
The weather is great but I feel stressed
My colleagues laugh "relax René!"
"Have a good cigar and a little coffee"

Once finished, my exhausted colleagues
Call a taxi, oh but I want to jump!

I order a decaf but re-caffeinated!

I lock myself in the kitchen, there's a bit of coffee left

And it's been fourteen days that I've been locked up
I'm alone in my kitchen and I'm drinking coffee
I should really sleep but the cops will catch me
So I nail the doors shut and have more coffee
