I’m an Elephant

I’m a very gentle animal.

Don’t be fooled by my size or my roar.

I’m very friendly and obedient.

I can survive in the wilds where I’m very protective of my young.

I will do everything to ensure the safety of my babies.

I have a long trunk which I use to grab food and water to bring to my mouth when I’m hungry and thirsty.

I have huge ears and tusks.

Many elephants live in the wild where they are with their family and run in the herd.

Some elephants perform in the circus or reside in a zoo.

Elephants in the circus have a trainer who coaches them to do tricks to entertain the crowd.

Circus elephants can stand on their hind legs and do balancing acts when properly trained.

They need lots of practice and care from the circus staff.

Elephants enjoy being visited by children and are very affectionate.

They also love to be with their family caring for their young.

They also take care of their sick and elderly.

In the wild elephants exist in savannahs, forests, deserts and marshlands and forage for vegetation, nuts, fruits and water for their nutritional needs.

As a domesticated elephant we are trained for the circus and go on the road or we live in a habitat designed for the zoo’s where we are visited.

I love peanuts and enjoy children visiting me and I love caring for my babies because I’m an elephant.
