I’m a Wolf est une chanson en Anglais

I’m a Wolf
I run in a pack

Packs can include anywhere between 5 to 30 wolves at a time.

Wolves are social animals and are capable. of forming life long bonds and friendships in the pack.

When a wolf goes on their own after they leave their family, their natal pack they are called a “lone wolf” and they go in search of a new pack as wolves do not like to live alone.

Wolves prefer running in packs and establishing relationships as they feel safe in numbers.

When wolves travel in packs they do so in their hunt for food, when protecting their young or when they’re under threat.

When a young wolf of 2 leaves the family in search of a mate they desire to form their own natal pack.

It’s not easy to find a mate but that’s their mindset and their mission.

There is risk leaving the family but that’s life’s calling and all animals seek independence and raising a family of their own including the wolf.

Wolves take care of their families and are very caring of their young pups.

When a mother wolf gives birth she protects her pups in a den but she is not able to leave them alone so the other wolves in the pack go out hunting to bring food back for the mother, her pups and themselves.

They work together in cooperation with each other and they value the pack.

They survive in the pack.

In the pack wolves find their role and the leaders usually are aggressive and determine who leads and who follows.

Leaders rise to the top in the wolf pack and are the alpha wolves.

Wolves live in a wide range of terrain finding their habitats in forests, grasslands, mountains, tundra, deserts and woodlands.

Wolves make their dens near waterways and areas of dense vegetation.

Wolves live in the wilderness and remote areas and can be found in North Africa, Asia, Europe and North America.

Wolves are very adaptable to extreme weather conditions and can live in cold temperatures as low as -40 degrees F and arctic wolves can survive in -70 degrees F because they grow a second layer of fur in the winter.

They can live in the snow and for long periods of darkness that coincides with winter time.

Wolves are part of the dog family but are a different subspecies of animal.

Dogs are also known to tolerate the cold like wolves and sledding dogs compete in the grueling Iditarod competition in Alaska that occurs annually and showcases the dedication and courage of the sled dogs and their mushers.

Wolves live in the wild and their life expectancy is 6 to 8 years which is shorter than their counterparts, dogs who are domesticated and man’s best friend.

A dog’s life expectancy is 13 years in general.

Wolves and dogs are separate animal species but dogs are descended from the grey wolf.

Wolves are predators and go on the hunt in packs so they are very dangerous to their prey and are at the top of the food chain.

They are Apex predators and the most feared animal in the wild although they have been matched by wildcats.

A wolf will find threats from Tigers, Cougars, Grizzly and Black Bears and Man who hunts them in the wild.

In movies and literature a very popular one is the story of The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling in 1894 and brought to the screen by Walt Disney in animated form and live action form which features a boy, Mowgli and his many animal friends including a pack of wolves who helped to raise him in the wild and treat him like their own and his Bear friend, Baloo including his mentor, Bagheera, a Black Panther and many others.

Wolves are very fast in the wild and can run at 38 miles an hour on the hunt and in the pack they come from all directions at their prey.

Wolves can live longer in captivity in sanctuaries where they are protected and can live 16 years which is double their life expectancy in the wild.

There are 3 species of wolves in nature; Grey wolf, Red wolf and Abyssinian wolf and 40 subspecies.

Wolves are beautiful animals but are to be avoided because of the dangers they pose in the wild.

I am fast and I track down my prey.

I run in a pack.

I’m a wolf.
