I’m a Toy dog
I’m small in size but not stature

I’m bred all over the world

I am representative of many breeds of small dogs from many different countries.



Despite my diminutive size I’m fun to be around.

I love competition

In fact I love the stage where I get to do my thing in front of the other dogs and the audience.



My owner accompanies me and holds me on a leash while we walk together and perform in different categories.



We travel to New York City to perform at the Madison Square Garden for Best in Show.



It’s a popular competition that attracts dogs from all around the world in addition to large audiences who travel from far and near to see us in competition.



The Westminster Kennel Club puts on the show and it has been attracting audiences from all over the world annually since 1877 and at the garden since 1880.



One of the most popular breeds of toy dogs is the Yorkshire Terrier or Yorkie from England.



Yorkies make for wonderful dogs and have pleasant personalities and are loyal to their owners and have friendly and affectionate relationships with their families.



They make for excellent show dogs and as companions and are small weighing around 7 pounds and growing to about 8 inches in size.



Their life expectancy is around 15 years if they are nurtured and loved and allowed to thrive and grow in a healthy and happy home.



They make for wonderful family dogs and are adorable and cute and loved by all especially children.



Another popular toy dog is the chihuahua which hails from Mexico and is very small and also featured in shows and makes for an excellent addition to a loving family.



Chihuahua’s weigh between 2 to 7 pounds and grow to a size of 3 to 9 inches and are cute and also have wonderful personalities and make for excellent family dogs and they have the cutest little faces that tug at your heart at first sight.



Another popular tiny dog breed is the papillon which hails from France and Belgium and has unique butterfly ears or that’s what they look like in appearance.



They are small dogs of 10 pounds and grow to less than 12 inches in size.



There are other breeds of toy dogs all small in size with life expectancies of up to 15 years including the papillon.

All toy dogs make for excellent family pets and also are wonderful companions and may also compete in competition to see who’s Best in Show.
