It just gets so frustrating, Lord, to know how life could be
If everyone would open up their hearts and truly see
To get beyond the fear and hate, the greed and jealousy

Lord, Help us learn at every turn
To show compassion and concern
Let’s be cool, don’t play the fool

The earth, our home, this precious gift that we cannot replace
Created so that we could live within your loving grace
But though you’re all around us, Lord, some do not see your face

Lord, Help us see what home should be
And to respect it hum-ble-y
To love this jewel and not be cruel

It’s said, “Do unto others before they do unto you.”
But if we’ve any sense at all, we see that it’s not true
Everything that happens causes more beyond our view
Everything that we do, Lord, should bring us back to you!

If everyone could get in tune with what we’re s’posed to do
And truly love our neighbors… and to ourselves be true
And realize that all this love is possible through you…
