Verse 1 I’ve been busy writing
My Christmas shopping list.
It’s such a long’un, I’ve only gone and
Sprained my bloomin’ wrist!
At last it’s finished,
I can put my pencil down,
But guess what’s coming next, oh yes,
That dreaded trip to town…..

Chorus People rushing, crowding, pushing!
Will it ever stop?
Lots of huffing and a’puffing,
I’m about to drop,
As I dash to spend my cash
In yet another shop!
Christmas shopping?
I think I’d rather stay at home!

Verse 2 I have no idea
What to buy for Auntie May.
Whatever I get her – a scarf or a sweater –
She’ll sell it on Ebay!
I dread to think of how much
Money I will spend
On pointless stuff. It’s quite enough
To drive me round the bend….
