I’m waiting in line, trying to get ice
To cool all the meds that keep me alive
I push to the front, these are desperate times
I’ve never been one to bust a line
I try and ignore the screams from outside
Keep those doors down & lock us inside
There’s enough food here to feed us for years
There’s enough people to start a riot

This is no way to live

I found myself in a vivid dream
In costco car park on 11.19
The hills were burning, trees on fire
Tarmac melting through my shoes
I couldn’t find you, there were bones
Charred remains of mobile homes
Abandoned cars and burning flesh
In Costco car park after dark

Hiding inside here keeping my cool
Trying not to let the fear run loose
Finding some solace drinking the hours
Talking to no one, I don’t have friends.
Who are all these people and where will we go,
Or will this be our warehoused tomb?
Trying to ignore the screams from outside
But Maybe I’m better off out there
