My heart, a groundless sacrifice of the most bloody thing I could offer
The blunt, this time, with reverence to the ritual
The whites of my eyes, for all the ways they betrayed me
The loins, scraping match against box as if to excavate a summer out of myself
Fear, writhing still at the stake
The part of me that cares what other people think
Depression, a flair you can’t see until you’re right up on it
