She wanted to have lots of fun
When the little girl was born
She was very, very happy
But as time went on
She became very, very sad
What things made her sad, Grandma
Well, sometimes the people around her
Weren't very nice to her, so she started
To believe she wasn't very good
As she grew up, she forgot many things
About herself that she knew
When she first got here
She forgot where she was from
And she forgot how to be happy
Eventually, she became very, very lost
