I thought that I knew it all
And all the others had gotten it wrong
But now as I'm progressing
It's all now changing
And I can't find the end I sought

But who am I?
When all the dust has settled down

If everyone's forgotten now
Is there anybody here who hears me?
Is there anybody here who sees me?
As I am
And understands

As I continue leading
And then retreating
Repeat it here again
But it just won't ever be
How it was before I could see
That it was never ME

Who now is my enemy?
Who's a friend I believe in?
And will stand by my side
I'll hide my hurt inside

All of the things I once knew
The people I held onto
Why did it all have to change?!

Now who am I?
If I choose not to feel the pain
Who am I?
If no one else but me remains
Is there anybody here to SAVE me
Is there anybody here to LOVE me
As I am?
Who Understands?

And now, as I stand before my peer
See them trembling in fear
I have no idea what I should do
And now
As I see their happy faces
I know I'll never reach that stasis
I feel the emptiness grow

Who am I? When all I knew has been erased?
Who am I? When everything has been replaced?
Is there anybody here to care?
Or Is there anybody even there?
Who knows Who I am?
And understands?
