I'm afraid of being attached to something I can't control

I've been searching and searching but it only leads to dead ends
I could win over and over again but it means nothing if you aren't there to celebrate
I tried to meditate I tried to medicate I tried to speak to therapists and self diagnose
But the only time I feel alive is when you are by my side
I cry and I cry and let tears fall from my eyes like a child with separation anxiety
I pull you close and push you away
Tell you I love you but find ways to inflict pain on
The days that I feel like I'm getting to attached
You leave and come back
Ignore then react
Come and go
