My highs are bright metal reflecting light in the desert
But my lows are
Cold as a blizzard
So don't make me open up about the things I don't even

When I see an idea walking right in front of me
I try to catch it
Patch it up but it scars me instead
So I'll ghost my friends, avoid amends with sanity
Or haunt my own mind 'til I find a place to start anew

And I'll say I don't know what I should tell you about me
I'm softer than the greed that comes with money
But if I let you believe in me
You'll see that
I'm more complicated than paper origami

My highs are bright like the moon at night on the ocean
But my lows are slow
Backward motion

I just wanna know when a new version of myself will be ready
So I can remember what daydreams feel like when I'm rolling steady
I just wanna know if that version of me will feel
Comfortable finally
So I can rely on the people around me and actually agree that
