Paroles de la chanson Hard to Find par Pete Miller lyrics officiel

Hard to Find est une chanson en Anglais

Well, I walked inside thinking it would rain
Stay away cold tides, steer me not to blame
But, all I saw was a wanted man’s name
His bow’s string resting like a full moon’s wane
He said, “What you know you must always take
For desire is nothing if you don’t break
I take flesh that’s born from the ground I’m made
I kill it, but blood doesn’t cry from my blade
Clothe yourself for you are not blind
The more you know, the less you die
Leave your lineage and multiply
But, their sin is yours, too, so yours will multiply”
You told me if I was dead, I’d be Hard to Find
Hard to Mind
Hard to Wind
Hard to Bind
Hard to give a little Sign
Hard to give and be Kind
Hard to open up a little Shine
Hard, Hard to Find

I was riding against the wind’s blow
If I wanted to I could ease the reins and go
Though my legs were light my mind said no
I stormed into a palace to plunder what I could bestow
The past runs deep, so desire I must know
I know the past well and seek something that never happened, though,
I say, “It’s easy living deep and never walking tall
But, it’s hard to dig a hole, so why dig one at all?
To dig deep down is not the same to fall
‘Cause you’re working harder to not work at all”
And as I ran away, I know I did not pray
I hear his whistling bray and the horse has gone astray
I look with my own eyes, but the night has made me blind
Death is now imminent, so be Hard to Find

I woke up from a dream to see dusk is not yet free
The fire is slowly burning, but I have no prophecy
I hear the gallop song echo from the nearby sea
And my spoils are now not under the lonesome carob tree
I see the mad, orange lamps wavering to hear my plea
Just as I curse the earth, my horse comes back for me
With the wind I ride to avenge the wanted man’s miscue
With the sword around my waist, I will not miss my queue
I ride near the mountain and see the tracks above the dew
A little further up, I see the sparkling treasures’ hue
Hanging from an olive branch, I leave my horse behind
But, I hear the snap of a bow and then my horse’s cry
I wait for my own bow, but death is Hard to Find

I see the mad, orange lanterns coming and I have no way to go
I know I am not changed and, yet, changing I do not know
To come blooming once more, this conviction I must kiss
The tears won’t fill the hole I dug, so now I must remiss
I wonder if mercy will be there after I do all this
For mercy knows when you are using it for your own crooked bliss
A rope you yearn to feel special from a call
What’s easy is hard if you think you’re above it all
What’s hard is easy when you want to be tall
But, as the hole gets deeper, you don’t magically get small
Question why to live it must never be new
Question why you hold the shovel and have no sunny view
These are my questions, is it too late to ask, “Why?”
You told me if I was dead, I’d be Hard to Find
Hard to Mind
Hard to Wind
Hard to Bind
Hard to give a little Sign
Hard to give and be Kind
Hard to open up a little Shine
Hard, Hard to Find
