The slope that I’m adrift on
curves downward into deep
I can’t climb the walls to safety
They are too steep
Every attempt to free myself
only further declines me into the abyss
now all that’s left is
hopeless eventuality of my own mortality

Time runs in a flat circle
with bloody handprints and silent screams
it crushes all my dreams
locked in place
it twists my face
if only I could bargain my way
down from this ledge
