Always searching for the light
For she was not a creature of the shadows
The storm subsides now it's quiet
Only the sun still burns in her eyes

Loud is the silence
Hardly leaving any doubt
Feelings dance wildly like moths
In the light the mind rebels

She always wanted everything
And a lot of it
Built herself a nest
From hope and longing which wasn't much

Done everything for the grand vision
Had hidden all the glamour painstakingly
But she was never a creature of the shadows
Always searching for the light
In the stillness she finds peace
In the emptiness she seeks solace
Yet her flame continues to burn
In her heart undisturbed and grand

But her story remains
In the quiet lies her strength
