One day as I was studying God’ word,
I ran across a message of God’s strength in Psalm 18.
The message was a blessing to me, so I thought it would be a blessing to you.
So, I put the words of that message to music
They go like this:
Oh Lord my strength. Yes, I will love thee
And from day to day, I will sing praise to your name

I will call upon the Lord now He is worthy to be praised now.
From my enemies, I will be saved
I cried out to my God. In the time of my distress
The Lord he is my fortress, oh yeah
It is God that avenges me and subdues my enemies
What a great deliverance he gives to me
Yes, the lord he saved me, from my strong enemy
And from them which hated me Lord you are my strength
Oh Lord my strength. Yes, I will love thee
And from day to day, I will sing praise to your name

He shows mercy to the merciful, to the upright one he’s upright
In my darkness he is the light
Yes, the Lord is my rock he is my fortress
He’s my deliverer and strength. Through life the Lord will be

I cried to God and he heard my cry
Unto my cry he gave an ear
The Lord is my shield and my salvation
Because of him I have no fear
