VERSE 1

Little Bo-Peep has lost her sheep,
And can't tell where to find them;
Leave them alone, And they'll come home,
Wagging their tails behind them.

VERSE 2
Little Bo-peep fell fast asleep,
(And dreamt she heard them bleating;) dreaming the sheep were returning
(But when she awoke, she found it a joke) She opened her eyes and to her surprise
(For they were still a-fleeting) They still weren’t back in the morning

VERSE 3
Then up she took her little wood crook,
(determined for) Ready and willing to find them;
(She Found them indeed, but it made her heart bleed) Going through the towns, asking around
(For they'd left their tails behind them) And then to the fields behind them

VERSE 4
(It happened one day, as Bo-peep did stray
Into a meadow that was hard by,
There she spied their tails side by side,
All hung on a tree to dry.)

Walking on hills, through rain and windchill
Nothing could stop her from searching
Then suddenly she stopped and stood still
Is that the sheep she’s hearing?

VERSE 5
(She heaved a sigh and wiped her eye,
And over the hillocks went rambling,
And tried what she could, as a shepherdess should,
To tack each again to its lambkin.)

She ran through the trees, our Little Bo-Peep
‘Till she saw patches of white wool
And sighed with relief, there was her sheep
And now with joy her heart’s full
