Two Horsemen, A Boar, A Jar of Mango Jam

On a sultry day in May,
To Suva, Fiji we made our way
Wondering what adventures we might find
Leaving New Zealand behind.
With dusk falling, we found a park
to pitch our tent and escape the dark.

An interruption in our dreams,
A shadow in the street lamp's beams

It loomed larger the closer it came
Grunting, pacing, charging, it finally went away.

We woke to a dew-kissed morning, in a park so green and fresh,
Decided to find a beach, asking natives which one was best.
Climbing aboard the sugar cane train,
to Natadola Beach went we
where the forest meets the sea,
Two horsemen appeared then vanished,
You gave your hand to me.

We set our tent near driftwood, built a fire, told our tales
Swam in salt-kissed waters, floated high like little whales.
In the night we dreamed of futures, under stars so bright,
under stars so bright,
Mmmmmuuuuaaaaaooooohhhh
But by morning light, we found our boots and mango jam had taken flight.

They said we were so lucky, on that very dangerous shore,
Thieves all around, but we escaped them and a wild boar.
