I like the dirt and the dust
I like the air when it rains
I like how equal we are
How no two are the same
I just like to look at life
In a positive way
I like the fact that we all
Have an expiration date
It makes us feel so small
It makes us appreciate
The weight and worth of life

But often it's too much
I find myself in a hole
Begin to feel a rush
Of betraying my soul
I try to stay on the edge
Avoid this vicious door

And sometimes I stop
Slowly look around
Realise what I've got
Realise the good that I've done
And all the love that's living
Inside of my heart

Breathe deeply for a while
Make a mental note
How wealthy is my mind
Simply appreciate
That I can see, hear and cry
And be myself

I like the day and the night
How they are switching their place
I like the random odds
Of surviving today
And I adore the fact
We are not alone in space
I like that I feel sad
That I'm depressed at times
That the curve of moods
Is going up and down
I want to live it all
Before I say goodbye
