Racking my brain I'm thinking old fences
That took years to fall if I can remember
The day that it is I'll talk present tenses
But it doesn't matter I think it's November

But please don't remind me Because after all
Today's gone tomorrow Time doesn't stall

Moving too fast I just got to sit down
To see what is past and what has begun
I never took time to find my direction
But now that I found it I'll look for the sun

And so with my dreams I'll compromise
So I see fences ahead or is that your eyes

Thoughts that still haunt I just got to sit down
And think them to death but it can't be done
The sun only sets never seems to rise
Though my life's just beginning it's too late to run

Have I finally come to my senses
Have I wasted all my time knocking down fences
