One minute I'm fine the next I am not
My life is derailed next to my thought
Somethings got hold of me begging I 'stop'
It spreads up through me until I am caught

Silent alarms ring through my head
I'm gripping my thighs until I have bled
Chest feeling heavy I'm all out of breath
Feel my heart racing straight to it's death

Life goes on minute to minute
Feels like my mental is stretched to its limits
How can I last when my fear is infinite
Wouldn't believe if I wasn't within it

Doubt creeps up consuming my mind
Anxieties everywhere nowhere to hide
Holding on tight I hope it subsides
Told that I'm fine but I know its a lie

Using this medium, I paint a picture
Practice my talent with a convicture
Exercise demons straight out of scripture
Lust and Doubt, I battle the victor

If you had power what would you wish for?
Would you devour? Would you have kids or
Charge by the hour! Sharpening pitch forks
Hunting the monsters outside of your kids door!

What do we look for?
How can you save those you would care for?
What path we take or road we explore
Grants us power to fight off such Horror!

What do we do to a foe that's within?
When will I stop losing hope that I win?
Anxiety hide and seek under my skin
Patiently waiting to tear limb from limb!

Then it begins enough is enough!
Can't feel my legs but I need to stand up
Slowly but surely, it's almost abrupt
I chose to fight back and I sobered on up

It's for the best that I battle my mind
Allow it no rest, one fight at a time
Show it no mercy and someday I'll find
Passing this test made me one of a kind!

I do not win even half of the time!
Sometimes I find that I want to resign
But I cannot stop on a dime!
What would she think if TOMI didn't shine

Taught me a lot that grandma of mine
Gave me my faith so I see every sign
Gave me this name by which I define
What I will say when she reminds?

I've taken pills to silence my mind
Still fear the loneliness that I did find
I smoked weed and was stoned all the time
Gave up on trying till learning to rhyme!

Found my own clarity and stopped the misuse
Still finding Band-Aids on top of abuse
Practiced my craft a single turned two
This gave me the voice that led me to you

Now I am shouting for all of our freedom
Rapping that shit that I hoped to be freed from
Search for our keys to enter Gods kingdom
Then and only will I see how far we've come

I have a mission I will never run from!
Finding our power in curses I've undone
Amassing an army it starts with a someone
Refuse to fall flat when I have just begun
