We were five friends, chasing dreams,
In a ragtag band, or so it seems,
Our music echoed, throughout the town,
But our harmony, was upside down.

We went our ways, our paths diverged,
But the bond we shared, was never purged,
Yet one of us, couldn't find the light,
And took a leap, into the night.

The deep dark night, yeah

Forty years gone, and here we stand,
With tears in our eyes, holding hands,
We never thought, we'd face this pain,
But life is a mystery, hard to explain.

Through the highs and lows, we stayed true,
To the music that once defined our crew,
Now we gather together, with heavy hearts,
To bid farewell, as the train departs.

We reminisce, about the days of yore,
When we rocked the stage, and begged for more,
But now one voice, will sing no more,
Lost to the echoes of a distant shore.

Like a photograph that's been erased
These memories can't be retraced
But in our hearts A love encased
And all life's tribulations embraced... embraced

With the passing years

But life moves on and carries us home
