The lightning, it shines bright,
Breaking the constant dark sky with
Endless and unpredictable patterns
I look out the window again,
The sky turning white,
As if a cloudy morning replaced the dark midnight for a moment
And in a matter of seconds,
The raindrops got faster,
Racing each other to the bottom of the windowsill
The hum of the water overshadows your voice
Your tone, keeping a dynamic,
While the rain steadily goes into an unwavering crescendo
I focus on your lips,
The soft breath that comes out with every word
The rain stops.
There's only your voice and deafening silence behind it
And when you stop talking, the crescendo reappears
