Early Monday morning
The dew still in the air
A spotted turtle awaken
Her sleepy eyes still aware

And she smiles this day in early spring
It's a been a long winter she's now ready to sing

Her yellow spots seems glowing
Beneath the muddy water
She makes her way to the pond bank
Says hello to the otter
