My favorite thing is swimming
It's the closest thing to flying
I'll swim with sharks if I have to
Cause it's worth the chance of dying.

I like to do my laps alone
I almost never hit the rope
But I careen across my lane though
Thinking thoughts and dreaming hopes.

Then I hear a pleasant voice
And you say, Hey there excuse me.
Then you gesture with your hands
Like you want to dive into me.

I can share
A lane
With anyone
If we have half a brain
We can even fix the world

I gesture you into the water
And move over to one side
I pay attention where the rope is
Cus my space is half as wide.

I am swimming just as well though
Sometimes smiling as you pass
I don't care much for your splashing
But I'm checking out your ass.

Then we talk about the water
And we meet some other times
Then you kiss me with your lips wet
And of coarse I didn't mind.

We can even fix the world

So we have some healthy kids
And they will share their little swim spot
We don't like the same foods
But we share our shiney ice box

We don't have any religion
But our neighbors do next door
And when they invite us over
We'll try bowing on the floor.

We don't like that school attendance
So we join the PTA
And if that school board doesn't listen
Well at least we'll have our say

But if our wishes are important
We will take them to our town
I will make a lovely web page
And you will spread the word around

And if we have to go to Congress
I will take my new guitar
And by the time we meet our leaders
They'll have heard of who we are.

Cause we are starting grass root movements
And we are jamming with our friends
And we are setting good examples
Till our swimming session ends.

And we can share
