I saw a man walking down the street
Wearing all these fancy clothes
He stood out from the crowd
Looked kinda out of place
Wore a hat pulled low to just above the eyes
Had an enigmatic smile upon his face and I said

"Hey! Where you going to?"
I said: "Hey there mister, where you going to?"
"Hey! Where you going to?"
"Hey there mister, where you going to?"

He turned and looked at me with pale eyes
I thought he wouldn't speak
There was something strange about him
That I couldn't quite work out
He said: "It isn't where I'm going to but
Where I'm coming from
That really is the key"
But I said

"Hey! Where you going to?"
I said: "Hey there mister, where you going to?"
"Hey! Where you going to?"
"Hey there mister, where you going to?"
