And when two people are “in love with each other” they are each turning each other on to the place in themselves where they are in love

And when two people are in love that means they are meeting in the space of love

And what happens to us, is we get hooked on our connection – it’s like any junky

And you’re in love with her, or with him

And you think it’s the her or the him, when actually the love is the state of your own being

It’s just that they are your connection to open it

Because they see you in a certain way

And allow you to see yourself in a certain way

And allow you to touch a place in yourself


Now imagine, if that place is in us

What it means for somebody who is living in that place all the time

Not only with any one person, let’s say with everyone

You’re in the bizarre predicament that everybody you look at is your Beloved


Now, that could be a…

Like, what are you gonna do with everybody?

You come across…

You walk down the bus…

Like, I got on a bus in New York

There was a woman carrying packages, and she’s tired, and she’s having a heavy day,

and she’s just going home

She’d probably been cleaning somebody’s house, or something like that


And I’m walking back through the bus, and I look at her, and our eyes meet

And first, her first reaction is total paranoia, like “What do you want from me?”

“Are you gonna hustle me? Rape me? Mug me? Steal my pocketbook?

What do you got in mind?”


But if you don’t want anything, you’re just sitting right at this space

Like, here we are


And every now and then you meet somebody like this woman I’m talking about, who goes through her paranoia just like that because there’s nothing in you that makes it stick


And she comes right to the place of

Well, here we are

And suddenly you’ve got another lover


But what do you do about it?

You don’t rush up and say ‘How do you do?”

Or you don’t marry them or live with them forever after, or something

You just keep walking down the bus


Because it only takes that moment to recognize another being in this space


And a conscious being is that space

Is that space

Is like a Beloved

Is like a being, sitting there in love with you

No attachment – no conditions

Not conditional

Not, “I’ll love you if you’re this way or that way”

Just love


And it’s a very incredible thing to come up towards somebody who’s in unconditional love

Because all of us are conditional lovers, I assure you

There are limits under which we will not love

We all are protecting our separateness


Now, isn’t this being that I’m talking about protecting his separateness?

No, because he isn't that at all

He isn’t on channel 7 only
