but quite possibly more painful

This estate
Puts me in this state
But puts dinner on my plate
And a roof over my head
These rooms
Are like secret hiding spots
Except everyone knows about them
Including, but not limited to your g-g-government

Everyone you know
Knows everyone I know
And they all talk about each other’s issues
In circles of couches, with tea and lemonade

These rooms
With breathing walls that whisper
To the neighbour who heard all about it
He heard that me and my friends
Are a little bit weirder than him and his friends

But I don’t see it that way
I see trees on rooftops and rainbows and and lot of positive things
Because I’m an optimist
And I never yell
And if I get angry it’s always for a good reason
I never lose control
And I’m most usually always right
And I always have the right
To do what I want

In this house
Of warped mirrors and fake plants
There’s 3 dogs and a garden out back
We’re very quick to react
Always on the brink of a ha-ha-ha-heart attack
