In The Hollow (My Story) song lyrics by Moji Alawiye official

In The Hollow (My Story) is a song in English

Hallelujah, tonight is a night of Testimony
As a young girl, I grew up in The family where Orisha Idol, That is it, that's what you call
It in English, was the order of The day
My grandmother, Aweleya Olorisha, was the one that Was raising me

Always take me to Orisha Convention every week
I grew up eating rituals, you Call it, but they are very good Meal
And every year we do this Celebration and Orisha Convention and Orisha Concerts, I can
Call it

I was almost dedicated to the Orisha, but my mom, Bemi Solatunke, was a musician, a
Voice on Radio Quora for Many years from the 70s
On our way to Lagos, seeking For greener pasture for our Music career, dropped me in Ibadan
To live with my brother

I was in Ibadan, hawking on all The streets of Ibadan, Anything you can think of, Tomato
Clothes, egg, ice, water, Coca-Cola, I was hawking all Manner of things on the Streets
Of Ibadan
Abuse, left, right, from back And center

A long journey, but God found Me in 1987, I gave my heart to Christ
And I was inaugurated almost Immediately into ministry in Obisha, Soho, Ibadan here in Dub
1992
And the journey of ministry Was difficult, tight

My own pastor shouted me Off the pulpit, off the platform Where I was going to minister
To the people of God, right at My back where the ministers Were sitting, he shouted me
down and I was so Discouraged, I cried leaving The platform and I almost left The ministry
A mentor looked at me in the Face and said, Moji, you do not Know how to gather clouds

You do not know how to do Things, I don't think you will Ever excel in this music Ministry
I met a man in California who Looked at me in the face, a Friend of mine, a Nigerian
Friend of mine who said, Sis, You don't know how to sing, Maybe a songwriter, but Forget
Singing, you don't know how To sing, it's not your part

Sometimes you think you put Up a brave face like everything Is okay, but those words got
To me
Gradually, I was taking my Step back off music ministry, I Was tired, I was done
Oh blessed be the name of the Lord

I'm still here, singing
So this is my encouragement For you today, no matter how, God has the highest say
So I wrote this song as a Testimony that it may Encourage you in your Journey of faith
