I got a message I'm hoping that you would listen
And so I've made it my mission to let you know my position
It's about the place we live in our planet is overheating
I'm here to tell you why and what we can do to heal it
Around the earth we have the atmosphere
Sort of a layer of protection that's why life grows here
It protects us from radiation so we have no fear
And we can all live easy like I don't care
In the atmosphere we have the greenhouse gases
That trap the heat of the sun and keeps on passing
It back to us after the sun goes to bed
That way we don't freeze up at night and wake up dead
The problem now is that the gasses keep increasing
Trapping more heat than we needing
So the planet's overheating
Most of the gases are the ones we be creating
When we're burning fuels
CO2 we make it daily
To make it stop we just have to slow down
In producing the problem and figure out how to absorb it
It turns out nature's solution was trees
But guess what
We cut em all down to build our cities
I will do my best
I will not neglect
My duties to planet earth
I will make sure I play my role in saving the planet
And I will respect
The future of life on earth
And together we will protect
Every man every woman, child, plant and animal
Now that we know the problem
It's time to figure out how to solve em
First is how do we cut back on producing the the gasses
Next is how do we absorb em
To cut back we have to use cleaner sources of energy when we can
It's time to go green
To absorb it the smart thing's to team up with nature
Cut one tree we plant two or three
Do you know
That changes in the climate
Are affecting our planet
It's time to do something about it
Do you know
If we don't start trying
And we just keep denying it
The planet will be dying
Listen up
It's time to take a stand
It time to understand
It's time to make amends
It's time to be the man, woman, children of change
Let's take on this responsibility together and say
I will do my best
I will not neglect
