THE GAZE OF A FEMALE SOLDIER is based on the poem Odyssey by Homer.

We find a depleted demigod war hero, Odysseus, stranded on the mystical island Ogygia with a woman named Calypso. She is a nymph (minor female deity) & the daughter of the Titan Atlas.

Upon his defeat she was sentenced to exile on the island, doomed to fall in love with wounded heros, heal them, but never be able to keep them.

Calypso entices Odysseus with the prospect of eternal pleasure and immortality if he stayed with her.

Leaving Odysseus in a predicament where he could sail back for years across the sea and perhaps make it home, or stay on Ogygia with Calypso and lose himself forever in the Gaze of A Female Soldier.
