THE BALLAD OF GOOGALA DUCK


CHORUS Googala Duck, poor Googala Duck
wouldn't leave home so he got stuck.
His family flew south and said goodbye.
But he loved the pond and wouldn’t fly.

VERSE His friends at the pond said: “Googala go.”
But he said “no,” this pond is my home.
When winter came, he asked for their help
But they said “No, you gotta help yourself.”

VERSE Googala struggled as the snow came down.
He needed shelter, so he roamed around.
He saw a cabin with a shining light.
A hunter inside said “Stay the night.”

VERSE He was so happy, felt he was in luck.
Till he learned the hunter planned to cook duck
once the dog warned him he fled out the door.
Only to face the cold winds once more.
