Can't follow my own orders
Burnt out by 2pm
Waiting for the weekend

Once the weekend arrives
It just as quickly dies

I'll take a treat
It makes the week go quicker
My memories
Lack depth and fill no space
And I've got no drive as I wonder why
A reward makes what came before feel comparatively bad
(cos u doooooon't)

So I'm gonna stop running
And change what I'm becoming
Teach myself a new trick:
Chasing the carrot on the stick

Another week has passed
Life sure does go fast

I found a way to chase stacks
You lose somedays - just relax
And climb back into the driver's seat
And hit the gas
