Looking back I can see it now, the path I chose led me astray
Had so much promise to begin with, then watched it all fade away
Down a road that takes you nowhere, and steals your living soul
Makes you feel like you are spinning, down a never ending hole

The world tempts you with deception, but every promise is a lie
I still want to believe it, but it was never worth another try
I made the same mistakes a thousand times,
Still I never got a clue
Racing down that road that takes you nowhere,
To hit a wall I can’t get through

I’m just lucky to be living, my reckless ways made life so hard
After losing almost everything, thought I still had another card
I’d go back and play it all again, but it was always the same
Do the same thing over and over, it’s the definition of insane
