Life in this country can be terrifying
So many guns lead to people dying
At an unhealthy rate
Can’t stop the killing
Kids chilling at the mall
Got a bad feeling
ARs comes out
The spraying begins
Five minutes pass
Another 20 lives end
People rise up
And demand a change
Spineless politicians
Use the same refrain
Thoughts and prayers
No gun control
Don’t give a damn
About the 20 lost souls
— Only care about
Their next election
Then hire more cops
To increase protection
The shots ring out
A group defection
Instead of going in
They Run the wrong direction
Press conferences
Leads to more deception
No status quo we need course correction
Not a bad apple
It’s a whole collection
So satisfied
That they got an erection.
Which only means
That the people get stuck
Until we rise
And say enough is enough
Vote ‘em all out if they can’t get right

2024 a new story begins
The era of evil has come to an end
It’s time to keep moving
And make some change
Doing the same thing would just be insane
So rise up
Demand accountability
Make some people take responsibility
Then maybe we can get
Some clarity
Our greatness wouldn’t be such a rarity.
