I turned on the Evening news
And what I saw just could not be excused
Human tragedies do abound
Troubles’ everywhere I look around

But I cannot despair, because I can go to God in prayer

Reports of children being abused
Teenagers shot for high priced coats and shoes
Terrorist attacks and corporate greed
And Government has failed in times of need

But I won’t despair, because I can go to God in prayer

Sometimes life is so unfair but we can go to God in prayer
Though there’s evil everywhere, we still can go to God in prayer
Let us join hand everywhere, and let’s go to God in prayer
