In my head it's September and it's not too late
All the leaves are still green and I haven't been cast out yet

It's been years of me dragging my body along jagged shores
You can't tell my real age from my face, but my soul's known war
I can't tell if I'm the only one who mourns

So I go back to September and watch the leaves turn brown
