Why does she tread so heavily?

She seems to exert her energy

The light of "I matter" just seems to slip by her
She looks in the mirror and sees no fighter
She peers in the future but jealousy ties her

She'd love to feel free to love things as we do
But she finds most people are more able to hope and dream
