At a quarter to four she unlocked the door
I just stood there with a blank stare
As she swayed back and forth
And the state she was in she was making no sence
All that liquor made her different
And I knew I could't win
She wasn't the girl that I knew when I met her
She was making a fool of herself and I let her
Swearing and screaming 'till I couldn't even think

She looked at the clock and it was ticking her off
My excuses were useless so it was better not to talk
Threw my clothes in the yard
Broke my last good cigar
And my three wood worked real good
On my old model cars
Her face got red and her neck just got redder
I started to laugh and that really upset her
She poured a bottle of Jack
And half a six pack down the sink
That's just how she gets when I drink

This cold leather couch aint no good for my back
But when she gets like this she don't care about that
She locked me out of our room down the hall
She'll be better in the morning
