I hear a whisper
Calling in the storm
A whisper that could only
Have come from her

An eternity its been
Since I've seen her
The roses she left
So long ago
Have withered away
Leaving nothing but thorns

The tears I've shed
All these years
Now fill the rivers

Hearing the whisper once more
I gaze at the sky
The moon shines brightly
In this starry night

Grasping my lyre
I strum her favorite melody
Hopefully she'll hear
And return once again
